A 100% family winery of Argentina which has the honor of working alongside Jean Claude Berrouet, former Chateau Petrus´s winemaker (Pomerol). We were named Wine & Spirits Top 100 wineries of 2017. We have received consistently high scores (+90 Pts) by James Suckling, Robert Parker – The Wine Advocate, Stephen’s Tanzer, Wine Enthusiast, Wine Spectator, among many others. We are sustainable, with Global Gap Certified vineyards, Organic Certified.
Tapiz is one of the new and successful wineries in Argentina. Our success is based on our great terroirs, our brand new equipment and technology and, above all, our strong and experienced team. Winemaker Fabian Valenzuela was joined by Jean Claude Berrouet in 2012. Jean Claude is the recently-retired winemaker of Petrus, having presided over 44 vintages at this revered Bordeaux winery. We are proud that Jean Claude chose to work with us exclusively in Argentina.

Our terroir defines us and our products are our finest expression of this identity. We are convinced that to achieve these goals, we must produce our grapes, so that every year each segment remains its style and quality. We have 8 vineyards in the best and most representative wine areas, Globalgap and Good Manufacturing certified, allowing us to have lines with specific characteristics of each region.
Club Tapiz is a property developed for wine and food lovers alike, looking to give those visiting Mendoza a relaxing culinary experience. Participation in vineyard activities, wine and olive oil tastings and cooking classes are just a few of the things which make us stand out. Set against the Andes mountains and in the middle of one of our premium vineyards, we strive to induce the right mix of pleasure and relaxation.
The restaurant, under the direction of the prestigious Soledad Nardelli (21 best Latin America chef and Chef l’Avenir from the International Gastronomic Academie in Paris), offers an experience of regional tastes inspired by our on premise organic vegetable garden as well as fruits and walnuts obtained from other Tapiz vineyards.
Next to the main building you will have the opportunity to visit a traditional winery dating back to the early 20th Century, with its large casks of French oak and smell of past vintages. The main hall, however, was given to the renowned local artist Sergio Roggerone for intervention. The resulting 20 meter mural, signature lighting and costume display make for an outstanding event venue. Also on premises, don’t miss the chance to visit the olive oil factory or watch our team in the process of making sparkling wine in the traditional champenoise method.
Not surprisingly, the main building was declared historical, architectural and touristic heritage of the Region by the provincial authorities in 2006. Among other honors, it was chosen by Best of Mendoza Great Wine Capitals as better accommodation of Mendoza in 2008 and won the gold for sustainable practices in 2011. It also won in the category of relaxation and Spa of Traveller´s Choice of TripAdvisor in 2012, obtaining certified turn of excellence for 5 consecutive years (being the last in 2015).
