The site has more than 4,000 panels that will generate 1.5 MW of installed power that will be injected into the interconnected electrical system, being able to supply about a thousand homes.
Among its benefits, the system has a zero maintenance cost, after the initial investment of 2.5 million dollars financed by the company formed between Emesa and the Godoy Cruz Electric Cooperative.
The solar park in Palmira joins the six new small hydroelectric plants already installed, which take advantage of the course of rivers and canals to supply between 25 and 30 thousand homes and reduce 30 thousand tons of carbon dioxide, to the Junín Solar Park (inaugurated recently), and to the solar panels installed in the Cultural Building, in the La Báscula cultural space and in Municipal Gymnasium Number 3 of the City of Mendoza.
